Trip.com discounts for new customers
What a first-time Trip.com user in Singapore actually gets — the auto-applied welcome discount, the two new-user codes, and the exact steps to claim each one.
The welcome offer
New Trip.com users get up to 10% off their first hotel booking when booking in the app, plus up to S$45 off selected B&Bs and 5% off a second booking. There is no code to paste — the discount is applied automatically once you sign in to a new account. On top of that, new users get up to 5% off attraction tickets, tours and travel eSIMs (capped), claimed in-app and applied automatically.
New-user promo codes
Two first-order codes are also live for new users:
- TRIPCAR8 — up to 8% off your first Trip.com car rental, entered at checkout (valid through September 2026).
- TRAIN10 — 10% off South Korea train tickets, no cap, applied at checkout (valid through September 2026).
How to activate the welcome discount
- Create a Trip.com account and sign in before you start searching, so member pricing shows from the first result.
- Use the app for the hotel welcome offer — the up-to-10% first-booking discount is in-app.
- Claim the relevant coupon on the deals page in-app where prompted; it then applies automatically at checkout.
- For car rentals and South Korea trains, paste TRIPCAR8 or TRAIN10 in the promo-code field at checkout.
Conditions
- Account required — every welcome offer is tied to a new, signed-in account.
- First booking only — the hotel discount applies to your first hotel booking; the 5% follow-up applies to the second.
- App-only — the first-hotel-booking discount and the attractions/eSIM coupons are claimed in-app.
- New users only — TRIPCAR8 and TRAIN10 only work on a first car-rental or rail booking from a new account.
- Caps apply — the attractions/tours/eSIM discount is capped.
What stacks with it
Trip Coins stack with the welcome offer: you earn coins on most prepaid bookings — including your discounted first one — and can redeem them like cash on the next booking. The welcome discount applies to the booking price first; coins are then earned on what you pay.
Already booked before?
If your account is no longer new, you still have the 5% off a second booking from the welcome bundle, and ongoing member levers take over: Trip Coins on most bookings, and the referral programme — share your link and friends who register get S$20 in hotel promo codes, while you can earn up to S$200 in Trip Coins when they book.
