A short, honest privacy notice. PromoCrab is a promo-codes and deals site — we keep data collection minimal and explain below exactly what we do with the little we gather.
Who we are
PromoCrab is operated by Individual Entrepreneur Alexander Volkov, an individual entrepreneur registered in Batumi, Georgia, at Chavchavadze Avenue 25, Apt 42, Batumi 6000, Georgia. What we collect
We collect only what's needed to keep the site working and improve it. That typically includes:
- server log data (IP address, user-agent, referrer, timestamp) generated automatically when you load a page;
- anonymous product analytics from Google Analytics 4 and PostHog (which pages and codes are viewed or copied), plus error reports from Sentry;
- scripts loaded via Google Tag Manager and the cookies these tools set — see the Cookie Policy for the full list;
- affiliate-tracking identifiers added to outbound links so partner networks (e.g. Admitad, ShareASale, advcake) can credit a sale;
- anything you choose to send us by email.
We do not ask for or collect names, addresses, payment details, or any other identifying personal data on the site itself.
Why we use it (and our legal basis)
- to deliver the site, route affiliate clicks correctly, and serve the right deals;
- to understand which offers are useful and prune those that aren't;
- to detect abuse like scrapers or fake-click bots and block them;
- to comply with our legal obligations when applicable.
Where EU/UK law applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in running and improving the site, on your consent for non-essential cookies (collected via the cookie banner on first visit), and on legal obligations where they apply.
International transfers
Our service providers (analytics, hosting, error monitoring) are based outside Georgia, including in the EU and the United States. Where required, we rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards to protect transferred data.
How long we keep it
Logs and analytics data are kept only as long as needed to fulfill the purposes above — typically a few months, longer only when required by law or to investigate abuse. Anonymized aggregates may be kept indefinitely.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, California's CCPA/CPRA, Brazil's LGPD, or Canada's PIPEDA — typically the right to access, correct, delete, or port the data we hold about you, to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (e.g. the ICO in the UK, your national DPA in the EU, or the California Privacy Protection Agency in the US).
